Arrival Time in Bombay
The CARONIA is scheduled to pick up its Bombay pilot about 12 Noon on Saturday, March 10, and tie-up at Ballard Pier about 1.30pm.
Departure Time
7pm on Sunday, March 18.

Port Formalities
Immigration, customs, exchange control, and other port officials will board with the pilot so that port formalities will be observed in the Main Lounge while the ship is proceeding to her berth at Ballard Pier.
Notes on India
AGRA
Contains that crowning glory in marble, the Taj Mahal, built by Shah Jehan the Magnificent. Gazing across the Yamuna River from the Jasmin Tower a mile away, the domes and minarets of the Taj present an unforgettable picture. The Fort and the Tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daula will also be visited, as well as the Tomb of Akbar the Great, the grandfather of Shah Jehan, at nearby Sikandra.
BANARAS
Situated on the left bank of the Sacred Ganges, is said to be the oldest city in India. It has been the religious capital of Hinduism since time immemorial. Thousands of devotees come each day to bathe in the Ganges and to drink its muddy water, while close by are burned the bodies of those whose good fortune it has been to die in this holy spot. The Temples and Ghats on the river bank, the Monkey Temple, Golden Temple, Well of Knowledge, and fascinating bazaars, together with the Buried Buddhist city of Sarnath, will be visited by each tour party.
BOMBAY
Known as the Gateway of India, is surrounded by the hills which form the Western Ghats. The architecture and methods of the East and West stand side by side in a cosmopolitan atmosphere. Among its many fine buildings are the Prince of Wales Museum, the Secretariat and University Buildings, Municipal Offices and Victoria Terminus Station.
CALCUTTA
The chief city of Bengal, is famous for its Kalighat Temple, Zoological Gardens, Jain Temple, Marble Palace, Burning and Bathing Ghats, and native Indian bazaars.
DARJEELING
Is near the Tibetan border and a few hours’ drive from Tiger Hill, from which a view of Mt. Everest may be had (weather permitting). The Observatory, Botanical Gardens, and native bazaars of Darjeeling will also be seen.
DELHI
The capital of the Old Mogul Empire, is now the capital of the Republic of India. Qutub Minar, the Tomb of Humanyun, the Fort built by Shah Jahãn, and the immense Juma Masjid are among the famous buildings to be seen in this city.
FATEHPUR SIKRI
Was founded by the Emperor Akbar in 1569 on a lonely eminence in the midst of a flat fertile plain., This long-deserted city was built by Akbar in thanksgiving for the birth of his only son. This city of red sandstone stands as the most complete and beautiful example of Moghul architecture in India. The palaces, schools, mansions, places of worship and stables are in a practically perfect state of preservation.
JAIPUR
Is the seat of the Maharajah's Palace, an imposing pile in the centre of the city. The Palace of Winds is a vision of daring and dainty loveliness. The Deserted City of Amber, the old capital of Jaipur, seven miles away, occupies a picturesque situation, almost entirely surrounded by hills.
MADRAS
In South-Eastern Indla contains Myladore Temple, San Thorne Cathedral, Fort St. George, and several interesting Hindu Temples.

Sightseeing in Bombay
