This page lists the passengers who were aboard the “Green Goddess” on the 1953 Round South
America Cruise. It was originally rebuilt from partly transcribed US Immigration Records, but now that a
published list has come to hand, it now shows minor corrections gleaned from that source.
For cruises, Caronia's Passenger Lists were handbooks providing advice and answering a number of
frequently asked questions. Instead of repeating this within every transcript, its content forms the start
page of the 1951 Virtual
Great World Cruise.
Important Notes
Cunard's published list often shows either no forename for a married woman, or it shows that of her husband;
such names as originally found on the Immigration manifest remain unchanged
Entries with a ¶ prefix indicate that an addendum entry exists
The errata list shows other differences between the two
lists and those who did not embark
Immigration manifests provide reliable information about who actually travelled
Accuracy
Because no Errata List was preserved with the original document, the listing below should not be read as being
definitive! No guarantee of accuracy can be given with regard to marital status or indeed spelling of names.
Any proven corrections will be welcomed.
What's Your Story?
If you, a relative or ancestor, travelled on this voyage and you have a story to tell, I'd be delighted to hear from you!
