The Caronia 1953 Coronation Cruise was the fabulous prelude to the historic pageantry about to
take place in London on 02 June. The travel companies Thomas Cook and American Express published
specific books for most of the major cruises aboard Caronia. Some were limited editions of only
660 - the maximum number of passengers carried on any cruise.
Unusually, the commemorative book to celebrate the Caronia's Coronation Cruise was published by
Thomas Cook after the event, so rather than predicting a wonderful cruise, it speaks as a record
and memento, though often in a rather curiously detached manner.

The Dinner Menu for 19 May is a unique use of this cover aboard the Caronia. Usually, the centre of the cover was
endorsed for celebrating high days and holidays.
