Villefranche

The brochure extols
From the decks of the Caronia, this snug little harbour appears before you like a page in a fairytale book. Soft shades of blues, greens and purples provide a background for a cascade of delicate pastel buildings which dot the hillside.

As you sit at one of the open-air cafés along the waterfront you can watch the trim yachts scurrying about the harbour. Stroll along the fascinating “covered” streets, dating from the 13th century, that wind past little shops selling the wares of all Europe.

Beyond this enchanting village lies the sophistication of Cannes and Nice, the roulette wheels of Monte Carlo, the magnificent Aquarium at Monaco, walled Roman city and artist's haunt of St. Paul de Vence, the perfumed world of Grasse, and all the beauty, colour and gaiety of the fabulous French Riviera.

Flaunt It!

If ever there was a place on Earth designed for the purpose of flaunting your wealth, it would be the bays of the Côte d'Azur! With neighbouring Cannes and Monte Carlo no more than a taxi-ride away, where better to moor your yacht?

It mustn't be considered that Caronia passengers would feel outdone. For many of them the shoreline parade was nothing more than an active showroom. Their own “private yacht” was already bigger and better than any on display here and simply looking resplendent, moored out in the bay!
