Members of Tours O-58 and O-60 must have their keys to their baggage readily available for Customs inspection when leaving the ship at Naples and when rejoining at the conclusion of their respective trips.

All passengers are reminded to have their Foreign Currency Declaration readily available for inspection or surrender whenever called upon by the Italian Customs officials.

EXCURSION S-29A NAPLES CITY - SOLFATARA

Automobiles leave the landing place at 9.30am for a drive through the city of Naples, visiting San Martino Museum and the National Museum, before continuing along the coast road to see the old Roman Amphitheatre at Pozzuoli, thence to the extinct volcano of Solfatara.

The return to Naples is made by way of Bagnoli and Posillipo, arriving at the landing place about 12.30pm

EXCURSION S-30A POMPEII - AMALFI - SORRENTO

Leaving the landing place by automobile at 9am, the drive will travel over the Autostrada to Pompeii. After visiting the excavations, proceed about 12 Noon via Pagani, Cava, Vietri, Mairoi and Minori to Amalfi, arriving about 1.15pm.

After luncheon at a restaurant overlooking the Bay of Amalfi, leave about 2.30pm and continue over the famed Amalfi Drive via Positano and Meta to Sorrento, arriving about 4.30pm. Leaving Sorrento about an hour later, the return trip passes through Vico Equense and Castellamare, thence over the Autostrada to the landing place at Naples, arriving shipside about 7.30pm.

OPTIONAL TOUR O-57A THE ISLE OF CAPRI

Leave the landing place by motor coach at 8.30am for the transfer to the Molo Beverello, whence the local steamer will sail at 9am for Capri. Arriving at the Island about 11am, passengers transfer into small boats for the passage into the Blue Grotto; after the visit there, return to Marina Grande and proceed by funicular railway to Capri Town.

After luncheon at one of the leading restaurants of this resort, drive by horse carriage to Anacapri and Villa San Michele, returning to Marina Grande before 4pm, when the local steamer leaves for Naples, arriving at 6pm.

Return by motor coach to the CARONIA about 6.30pm.

Transfer from the landing place by motor coach at 10am to Piazza Garibaldi Station. Leave Naples at 10.55am by “Rapido” train, with luncheon served in the Restaurant Car. Arriving at Termini Station, Rome, at 1.25pm, transfer by automobile to the Hotel Bernini-Bristol, where overnight accommodations and all meals in Rome have been reserved.

Afternoon sightseeing tour of Rome leaves the hotel at 3pm and returns about 6pm

07 April

Morning sightseeing tour of Rome leaves the hotel at 9am, and returns about 12.30pm. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Rome leaves the hotel at 2.30pm and returns about 5.30pm.

Transfer from the hotel by automobile at 7.15pm to Termini Station. Leave Rome at 8.05pm by train, with dinner served in the Restaurant Car. Arriving at Piazza Garibaldi Station, Naples, at 10.30pm, transfer by motor coach to the CARONIA about 11pm.

10 April 1951

Morning sightseeing tour of Florence leaves the hotel at 9am and returns about 12 Noon. Afternoon at leisure in Florence.

Transfer by automobile about 6.45pm to the railway station. Leave Florence at 7.20pm by train, with dinner served in the Restaurant Car. Arrive Genoa about midnight. Transfer by automobile to Hotel Savoy Majestic where overnight accommodations in Genoa have been reserved.

11 April 1951

Proceed by automobile from the hotel about 10 am on a short drive through Genoa before continuing via Savona and Alassio to San Remo, where luncheon will be served in one of this Italian Riviera resort's finer hotels.

In the afternoon drive to Bordighera and Ventimiglia (Italo-Franco border), thence along the French Riviera via Mentone and Monte Carlo to Villefranche, arriving at the landing place about 7pm. Transfer by tender to the CARONIA for dinner aboard ship.
