This page lists all of the jobs carried out by the crew of the “Green Goddess” on her 45th voyage out of Southampton. This was a positioning voyage ahead of 1953 North Cape Cruise, so 100 more crew than usual were employed. These included photographers, extra band members, and a full laundry staff.
Although this list is shown as a manifest, it is not intended that it give full details of each rating, like Age, Nationality, Service at Sea etc. The list is ordered according to Articles Number with series letter prefix.

- Total crew complement, including the Master, for the 1953 Westbound Transatlantic was 696 of which there were 462 in the Catering Department
- During Caronia's stay at New York, 21 year old Assistant Steward Jack Charles Morris suffered a nasty accident while recovering stores from the forward hold. As the capstan was lifting, his arm got caught by the rope resulting in the traumatic amputation of his left arm. He also suffered from a fracture of his right tibea and multiple lacerations and abrasions and was left to recover in hospital
