Introduction
This page lists all of the jobs carried out by the crew of the “Green Goddess” on her 3rd voyage out of Southampton. She had recently completed a series of 3 cruises to the West Indies and spent 10 days at Southampton ahead of this Westbound transatlantic.
Although this list is shown as a manifest, it is not intended that it give full details of each crew member, like Age, Nationality, Service at Sea etc. Also, there is no set order to the list, and even some Articles Numbers are duplicated, with different ratings and names assigned.

Accuracy
Whilst every effort has been made to check this transcript, the process has highlighted a few errors in the original documents which have been corrected here. If any of the ratings are incorrectly described below, do please advise me of these.
Notes
- Total crew complement, including the Master, for the 10 May 1949 Voyage was 586 of which there were 383 in the Catering Department. Other than new sign-ons, the kitchen staff are no longer separately identified as in the Maiden Voyage Crew List
- For this voyage there was only a skeleton laundry staff employed
- On arrival at New York on 17 May 1949, just 1 crew member was signed-on
