The NEW CARONIA

~

Not merely a new ship, but an
entirely new concept of ocean travel
is the 34,000 ton luxury liner Caronia,
largest passenger vessel built anywhere
in the World since the end of the war.

The 1948 Temporary Cruise Plan tells us…
Designed especially for cruising, the Caronia blends the massive proportions of an Atlantic liner with the sleek grace of a pale-green yacht, featuring a well raked clipper bow, tripod mast, single internally-supported funnel, and such warm-weather attractions as an outdoor swimming pool and open air lido.

Staterooms, as swank and modern as tomorrow yet comfortable in their luxury, are mostly “outboard” with natural lighting and ventilation, and the majority have private bathrooms.

Principal public rooms, situated on the Promenade Deck, include Observation lounge, Cocktail Bars, Writing Room, Main lounges, Smoking Rooms, Library, Theatre and Garden lounges - all air-conditioned. Open and closed promenades and great expanses of unobstructed deck space provide exceptionally spacious areas for outdoor recreation and relaxation.

From stem to stern. the new Caronia is a marvel of grace and power, as thoroughly enjoyable as she is beautiful.
