List of Passengers
This page is a full-text transcript of the Passenger List for the West Indies Cruise departing from New York on Friday 21 December 1951. It is constructed by combining information from the list published by Cunard and the Manifests provided to U.S. Immigration.
Important Notes
- Combining two lists has provided an opportunity of more complete information
- As with crew lists, not all the information, such as age or place of birth, has been transcribed
- In the Cunard list, wives travelling with their husbands don't have their actual forename(s) included, so these have been added
- Minor corrections to a name appear in brackets
- Amalgamation means a more reliable source of information about who did travel
- Names prefixed with ¶ have a remark in the Corrections List
- The list includes the Cruise Staff and Artistes, except the Cruise Director who is employed by Cunard and signs on as crew. Not all passenger lists follow this convention. It means there were 689 fare-payers travelling
