The Caronia Spring Cruise of 1962 is an ideal pleasure voyage, visiting the Mediterranean at its most delightful season of the year. Springtime is greeted at your very first port of call, Portugal's flowery island of Madeira.

The Caronia then sails through the Strait of Gibraltar to exotic Tangier, the sunny island of Mallorca and historic Malta. Athens, with its great traditions and classical ruins is next on the itinerary, followed by Dubrovnik on the Dalmatian Coast and Italy's fabulous “City of the Sea” - Venice.

From Venice Caronia calls briefly at Catania and Messina before heading north to Naples with its spectacular bay, along with tours to Rome, Amalfi or Capri. Then it's north again to Livorno, the port for Pisa, before starting to head west to Barcelona via the French Riviera and Marseilles.

With a brief call at Gibraltar and an overnight stay in Lisbon, the month away can either end at Cherbourg or Southampton. The month of June is then available to stop over in Paris or London before taking the liner of your choice back to the USA.
