06 February 1955

This is another of a selected series of text transcripts of the “Daily Programme of Events” issued whilst Caronia was at sea. This page is for Sunday, 06/07 February 1955. The ship left Rio de Janeiro 2 days earlier, bound for Tristan da Cunha.

On many cruises there were regular teasers posted with a prize given to the first correct answer handed in to either the Purser's Office or the Cruise Office. If you're up for the challenge, you can compare your answer to today's teaser by revealing the answer link below.

WEEKLY TEASER - BOOKS

Mr. Reader's five daughters each gave books for Christmas to one or more of her sisters. Each presented four books, and each received four books, but no two girls allocated her books in the same way; e.g. only one gave two books to one sister and two to another. Bessie gave all her books to Alice; Cissie gave three to Edith. Who were the donors of the four books received by Deborah?
