Party Night Invitations
Until recently, I had no photographs of the Printers’ Parties, however, there are now some to hand. Also I now have images of two party invites.
The first is one Len Danson has sent to me. It's a copy of an invitation and programme for a Printers party held in May 1963. I wonder, was it a riotous affair? I think I'll let the programme contents tell its own story.

The Caronia was at sea sailing from Piraeus, Athens to Dubrovnik and we learn that the printers on this Mediterranean Cruise were - Lewis Jones, Thomas Vicars, Douglas Gaunt and Norman Jones.
This second invitation card was sent in by Roger Birch. This raises the question, who was Bill “Bad News” Hughes?

The Caronia had left Honolulu the previous day, so it probably had a Polynesian theme as seen on previous pages here. Use of the term “Shot Away” is interesting. It usually meant calling your sanity into question, but without getting drunk!
