Roger Birch writes…
Able Seaman Jeff Hurst, on the right, is in contemplative mood - his shipmates are all ashore enjoying Kronenbourg in the bar on the jetty. Crew member on the left (not known) was a Quartermaster - his job at sea was to steer the ship.

Kenny Bezant

Photographed on the 1964 Spring Med Cruise, Ken, who hailed from Southampton, was essentially a Cunard man and worked on the Caronia on and off for many years. In fact Kenny first joined the Caronia as a Junior Ordinary Seaman in July 1950.
