No sooner will you have left the beauty of the rugged Norwegian coastline than you are off on a tour of the great Scandinavian capitals. Oslo combines all the best of Norway — scenic beauty, cultural wealth and modern attractions and, naturally, she's situated on a fjord.
Stockholm is Sweden's lovely capital on the sea — like Venice her waterways wind into the heart of the city and her stately buildings are mirrored therein. Overnight across the Baltic and you reach Helsinki, the vibrant and modern capital of Finland and again a magnificent setting on water.
Before completing your tour of Scandinavian capitals you will visit Visby on the island of Gotland and Sopot, Poland's charming seaside resort. Then to complete your tour on to Copenhagen, the friendly capital of the friendly Danes and Hans Christian Andersen's beloved city.
From Copenhagen you sail around the jutting peninsula that makes up Denmark to Germany and take one of the most picturesque journeys of your voyage. From the coast you will sail the long and colourful route along the Elbe River until you reach the wooded banks of the great industrial city of Hamburg.
In contrast to the rugged beauty of the Scandinavian and Baltic areas you will bring your cruise to a close amidst the pastoral beauty of the British Isles. You will see historic Edinburgh with its famous Royal Mile and Oban in the western lochs, as Scotch as tartan.
Then through the Irish Sea to the handsome capital of Dublin and romantic-sounding Glengarriff, gateway to the lyrical countryside of County Cork and the Lakes of Killarney.
