Mont St. Michel, a rocky islet in the English Channel one mile off the coast of France is one of the truly riveting sights in the world. The medieval walls and towers of its Abbey comprising the graceful cathedral, Knight's Hall, dungeons and cloisters seem to rise from the sea.

Its cloistered buildings are crowned by masterpieces of gothic architecture. Stroll the cobblestone streets of the tiny town bordered by shops and inns.

After dinner at a charming hotel, return to Cherbourg to rejoin Caronia in time for sailing.
