Zanzibar to Nairobi
Leave Zanzibar airport in the early afternoon for 4-hour flight to Nairobi, arriving in time for dinner.

Nairobi
Morning drive about this thriving capital of Kenya on the East African plateau. See the public buildings, squares and native sections, and nearby National Park.
Sunday, 26 February 1965
Great Rift Valley
Leave Nairobi after breakfast for a drive to the escarpment of the Great Rift, a tremendous fault in the earth's surface, 2,000 feet deep at this point.
Return across the plateau through coffee and tea plantations, reaching Nairobi in time for luncheon.
In the afternoon return to the Royal Nairobi National Park to see wild game.

Addis Ababa
Morning flight of 3¼ hours to Addis Ababa, arriving in time for luncheon.
Afternoon drive through Ethiopia's capital city, seeing the Menelik Palace and Mausoleum, Parliament House, Trinity Church and Filwoha Springs.
3 Nights at Filwoha Palace Hotel.

Bishoftu
A day's drive into the cool highlands of Bishoftu, among volcanic lakes.
Luncheon will be served here, and a drive made to Green Lake before returning to Addis Ababa.

Addis Ababa
Visit the market, Handicraft School, Mosque, Library, Imperial Palace, and other attractions of the city.
Thursday, 01 March 1965
Aden
Morning plane across the Ethiopian plains and the Somali Coast to Aden (4½ hours), arriving for luncheon.
Afternoon drive around this historic Arab port, seeing the Persian tanks, the Crater, oasis of Sheikh Othman and the beaches, with time for shopping at Steamer Point.
Leave in the late afternoon for overnight flight to Bombay.
Friday, 02 March 1965
Bombay
Arrive in early morning, transfer to the Taj Mahal Hotel for breakfast, and then rejoin the Caronia.
