Saturday, 11 February 1956

Cape Town

Morning sightseeing by automobile around Capetown, similar to Tour #O27.

Leave by special train at about noon from the dock alongside the Caronia.

Sunday, 12 February 1956

Kimberley

Arrive in the morning. Automobile drive about the famous “City of Diamonds”, with a visit to the De Beers Mine and the “Big Hole”.

Leave in time for luncheon on the train.

Monday, 13 February 1956

Kruger Park

Arrive Nelspruit very early in the morning and spend the day motoring in the Park to view many varieties of animals and birds in the world's largest wild life sanctuary.

Return to Nelspruit and leave by evening train.

Tuesday, 14 February 1956

Pretoria

A morning visit in South Africa's capital, including the Government Buildings and gardens, Paul Kruger's House and the Voortrekkers' Monument.

Leave by train at midday.

Wednesday, 15 February 1956

En Route

Travel northward through Bechuanaland and Rhodesia.

Thursday, 16 February 1956

Victoria Falls

Arrive in the morning for a full day at the world's greatest waterfall, viewing it from various vantage points — Devil's Cataract, Rainbow Falls, Main Falls, the Palm Grove and Rain Forest.

Luncheon and dinner at Victoria Falls Hotel.

Friday, 17 February 1956

Bulawayo

Arrive in the morning. Visit the city and drive out to Matopos Hills to see Cecil Rhodes' Grave at “World's View”.

Return to Bulawayo for luncheon, then drive to Government House and Lebengula's Tree, returning via the residential district, with time for shopping.

Dinner at hotel. Leave by train in the evening.

En Route

Travel southward to Johannesburg.

Sunday, 19 February 1956

Johannesburg

Arrive in South Africa's largest city in the morning. Sightseeing drive through this modern “El Dorado”, visiting the business and residential sections and attending a special native dance at one of the mine compounds.

Luncheon at a leading hotel.

Rejoin the special train and leave in late afternoon.

Monday, 20 February 1956

Durban

Arrive Durban in the morning and rejoin the Caronia in time for luncheon.

Afternoon drive (similar to Excursion E-5) by automobile in Durban, beginning at about 2pm.

Membership limited.
