Saturday, 01 October Itinerary
8:30am

Leave by automobile for a comprehensive three-hour sightseeing tour of Casablanca. Passing through the native and European quarters, with a barrier separating the old town from the new, one visits the Sultan's Palace and Gardens, the new Medina, Place Lyautey, surrounded by Administrative Buildings, and the Town Hall.

Then up the Anfa Hill with its splendid panoramic view, to call at the Anfa Hotel, where the historic Casablanca Conference was held during World War II. Refreshments will be served here be-for driving 60 miles to Azemour and Mazagan to visit the Mazagan Citadel, Marine Gates and the Fortress Cisterns.

Luncheon will be served in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility at the Marhaba Hotel by the sea. Afterwards the tour continues to Marrakesh, with a stop at Dar-es-Salam to drink mint tea while Berber girls whirl to the haunting strains of Andalusian music.

Overnight accommodations are at the Menara Hotel in Marrakesh.

Sunday, 02 October Itinerary

Marrakesh to Casablanca
9:00am

There will be a sightseeing tour of Marrakesh, featuring the Koutoubia, the Saadian Kings’ tombs and the Andalusian-Moorish style Bahia Palace. On foot one will pass through the souks, that area devoted exclusively to native merchants and their fascinating wares, to the colourful and kinetic Djemaa-el-Fna Square, and back to the hotel for luncheon.

Leave Marrakesh about 2pm and reach Casablanca at 5.30pm
