Standard Shore Excursion S.3

Aandalsnes - Kylling Bridge
Thursday 16 July 1953
9am

The CARONIA is scheduled to arrive at Aandalsnes.

10.15am

Group “A”
will leave by special train for Kylling Bridge, passing on the way the wild and jagged peaks of the “Trolltinderne”, the roaring rapids of the Rauma, and the beautiful Mongefoss and Bridal Veil Waterfalls.

At Kylling Bridge a magnificent view may be had of the entire Romsdal Valley, including the mighty “Romsdalshorn” — the “Matterhorn of Norway”. Returning via the same route the party will reach Aandalsnes about 12.15pm., in time for luncheon on board the CARONIA.

3.30pm

Group “B”
will leave by special train for Kylling Bridge over the route outlined above and returning via the same route will reach Aandalsnes about 5.45pm.

Optional Shore Excursion O.13

Romsdal Valley - Stigfoss

Thursday 16 July 1953

Automobiles will leave the landing place and follow the road up the Romsdal and Isterdal Valleys, past the Trolltinderne Mountains, and winding their way up Stigfjell Mountain, will cross the Stigfossen Waterfall over a mighty bridge.

After an unforgettable view of the valley below, the party arrives at Trollstig Restaurant for luncheon.

On this excursion magnificent views are to be had of some of Norway's grandest mountain scenery, including the high peaks of the Romsdalshorn, the Bispen (the Bishop), the Kongen (the King) and the Dronningen (the Queen).

The return to Aandalsnes will be over the same route and the landing place will be reached at about 2.15pm.

NOTE:
Members of this excursion who have also purchased Standard Shore Excursion S-3 will take the Kylling Bridge Excursion with Group “B” leaving Aandalsnes by special train at 3pm.

The CARONIA will sail for Hellesylt.
